Long term allies are forming new trading partners, who don’t change the rules on an emotional whim. The assumption that the US is a reliable partner is gone. He lives in an echo chamber with no limits on his behaviour, can’t deliver what he promised, so invading other countries has become his distraction. Being voted into the most powerful office on earth sadly doesn’t make you a leader. The world is working that out fast.
