I analyzed 6 epochs of @OctantApp data (Jan 2024-Jan 2025) to understand why 75% of stakers claim rewards instead of donating them - even with an 18x matching multiplier. Here's what the data actually shows.

@0xDipo Yes, love that you use “intent”. That’s what we’re missing right now: products with intent!

@theDesignMojo Now you finally see what I saw. We have to be intentional in building products in web3.

Web3 doesn’t have a marketing problem. It has a communication problem.

@0xDipo Totally agree. These products don’t solve anything valuable enough to get adopted.

@theDesignMojo I clearly got your point, but if you look at web3/crypto, you’d realize we’ve got arrays of products that either nobody asked for or no one actually uses.

With respect to Don, I don't think we should be holding up tradfi markets as paragons to emulate. They're even more extractive, except the extraction is gated and opaque rather than being permissionless and transparent on blockchains.

"MEV — that ability for people to reorder transactions to extract value, something that happens on top of Ethereum and Solana — that's just not suitable for financial markets." @drwconvexity @DRWTrading

@rauchg From CLI to UI back to CLI. Designers, it’s time we invested a new paradigm.

@0xNairolf People hate complexity and uncertainty more than they love yield. Crypto’s issue at the core.

It’s honestly a miracle that ETH is successful in spite of the leadership. If anything, we should be grateful at how ineffective the EF is. Because if they were more effective, it would probably more negatively impact things.

@lou3ee Disagree. The lack of product thinking is still the main issue of the industry, not the tech or the hype around it. Products that normal people want to use.

@SaulWgmi Maybe Web3 as it is needs to burn down. The utter disregard for end users has a price. Make unusable products? Fail. Make irrelevant products? Fail. We have the most advanced infrastructure but but the worst products. That’s the problem.

WARNING: Vitalik says if crypto keeps revolving around pure gambling with zero real-world use, the whole industry could burn out fast.

STRK is down 98% from its all-time high. and the devs on Starknet are shipping the most advanced privacy protocol in crypto, a provable programming language, and a prover that runs on your phone. right now. in this market. that tells you everything about who's here and why.

@sodofi_ @orishim Yes!! But pushing for more human centred design in crypto is like shouting in the void. Design is not meant to be at the end of the production line. It should be at the start, when one decides what to build…

The most successful solopreneurs aren't scaling to $10M. They're simply making more than they did at their job, minus the boss, meetings, and headaches.
