No more LOOGEY relievers or finesse pitchers, and that has somewhat been caused by the velo numbers we see now through technology. Instead of throwing 88 mph, they see 91 mph and they focus on that.

First time, he pulls it to short on the ground, 2 hopper. 108 off the bat. He’s out. The other time, he lines it over the first baseman’s head. Double. But first one should be higher % for a hit

I agreed with that, and just brought up that the best way to get positive results is to hit the ball hard more often than not. Exit velo is just a fact. And sometimes people just like seeing how hard a ball is hit

But I know enough that the more you barrel the ball, the more often you’ll get hits. That’s what the numbers say and if you don’t like numbers then I can’t help you
