@Neopium @_eveningFERN @JIX5A We have similar laws in the🇵🇭. We definitely have protected areas that prohibits abuse and exploitation from people wether they are locals or foreigners. If they can’t respect that, then they are not welcome to visit our islands.

I live in Angeles City, in the Philippines. We have a korea town here, it’s massive! I went to a Korean Salon called Juno where they have stylists from Seoul who work here. They LOVE Filipinos!! They all rent a small house and board together; ride jeepneys and tricycles, eat filipino food and get along socially with many of their customers. Their manager, hella cool SoCal Korean and is so friendly and kind. They have a gym in their building, runned by Koreans, that loves and accepts Filipinos who work out with Koreans. They’re not gentrifying anyone, the ones who live here. Actually, many of them contribute well to the community in Angeles city. Now the tourists, not all have the best intentions coming here and not all are as friendly. But for the most part? Everyone here loves entertaining them, feeding them, going to school with them and catering to them. - Including doing business with them.
