@web Dude it rings hollow to make a public acknowledgment of a mistake when there isn’t private reconciliation.
Then to use that mistake as an example of your own growth despite how it would make the person you wronged feel.
If u want keep digging in, but there’s a better path.
English

@WyattHarms Wyatt, the original tweet stated that my letters project was missing public acknowledgment. Most of my letters have been private, I said as much that first day and was still dragged for it.
English

@web If your intentions is to make amends I do think you should be able to see how doing that publicly without her consent is not and is perpetuating the exact kind of behavior you’re apologizing for?
Simple Q—is it worth making her feel more uncomfortable to show your own “growth”
English

@kelsey_ah I messaged you on Tuesday, publicly and privately, with the hope that we could have any conversation. I didn’t hear back. Yesterday, I DM’d this apology to you before I posted it on Twitter.
I wasn’t trying to tell your story or contend in any way, I was acknowledging you.
English

@kelsey_ah Hi Kelsey, I’m really sorry for whatever I did to make you feel this way. My letters project is expansive and on-going. Many letters of regret, gratitude, and so on were sent privately.
I have far to go but if you would be willing to have a conversation with me, I’m here.

@wilschroter Thanks Wil, I was very fortunate. Definitely changed some perspectives almost instantly.

@web I'm glad your only injury is your supply chain.
English

@joshua_schall Thanks, J. Everything is all good on this end. Hell of a story though.

@web Hope you (or family member) is good, but felt similar pain with just getting a cracked windshield fixed from a rock on the highway...
English

@vincenzolandino I am, sir. Thankfully, caught it and slowed right before the flipping ensued. It happened in January.

@digitallynativ @web Those prices 🙈💀.... and that's coming from a guy who sells 90 dollar razors
English

@digitallynativ Your memory is impeccable and I’m also going to buy this when I get the chance.

Just ordered on the strength of @web's recommendation. I'd been eyeing this one anyway and the quote he highlighted sold me on it.
"The ultimate sign that we have accepted our own agency is when we see ourselves as CREATORS, not just consumers.”"
Thanks for the nudge!

This was one of the most impactful books I've read in years. It’s on the psychology of personal progress. Don’t let the grandeur of the title deter you. A quote: “The ultimate sign that we have accepted our own agency is when we see ourselves as creators, not just consumers.”
English

@michaelmiraflor It hit me pretty hard, especially given how we use those words in a daily context.
