@BookerDeWitty @KieranMaguire Agree, but getting extra income won't solve the problem - without salary controls, clubs who overspend on wages by 500k-1m a year will keep overspending by 500k-1m a year. They would just be spending more. Salary cap + allowing owners to invest infrastructure would be better

@KieranMaguire The money put into the national league by the league needs to be increased. The participation money in the EFL alone is ridiculous compared to the NL.

Aldershot Town lost over half a million pounds in 24/25 when the club finished 16th in the National League. Losses underwritten by shareholders putting in fresh funds and loans. Common theme from financial results at National League and above is nearly all clubs making substantial losses. If this is a sustainable industry then I’m a pineapple and you can call me Percy.

Fulltime Result Our Sunday Teams put on a brilliant display in this mornings semi final… 2-1 up as the referee blows in the 98th minute giving the opposition a penalty which ended up being the last kick of the game…

@DanielT171284 I think if you get bad results in this comp, you lose money. If you win regularly you make money. £8000 prize money earned tonight. If you get to the knock outs, you've probably earned at least £20,000-£25,000 from prize money.

I expected a low attendance but not this low, we will lose money for playing in this competition.

@DanielT171284 Lots of really good acts, and I thought it was a high quality final. I did think the best act won, although I would have preferred haribo or the martial arts group to have won because they were so different from what I've ever seen before on the show.

#BGT is fixed the worst act of the night wins it and is also the last act on so its more fresh in the publics mind quite amazing when she is the only act who has done it as a profession. #bgtisfixed

@DanielT171284 I didn't understand why through all SF and F they didn't do a recap of all performances when the vote opened, that skewed it towards the later acts. Also, the schedule is arranged so the "better" acts are towards the end to build up the show, they've done that for years.

@DanielT171284 I'm also sceptical when they go to overseas performers as it makes me wonder if the show have guaranteed to the act that why will go through to the semi finals if they audition, hence why it's worth acts from half way across the world making the effort to travel given the cost)

Gateshead are NOT permitted to take part in the National League playoffs. Solihull Moors will get a bye to the semi-finals.

@Ollie_Bayliss ..(2/2)... In 2016-17 national league denied Darlington entry to national league north play offs due to their ground not being up to national league standards. They were replaced in the play offs by Chorley. Where's the consistency?

@Ollie_Bayliss This is shocking from NL. A team not eligible should be replaced by the next eligible team. Aldershot have been denied a play off place by a team who isn't eligible which isn't fair. Then they give a bye to 5th placed Solihull not 4th placed Altrincham. Plus...(1/2)

@OfficialShots hi, I'm a south stand season ticket holder. As the Altrincham game is on TV, I'm guessing my seat view will be obstructed. Is there a plan to move fans affected by this? My mate had a call yesterday, but I've not heard anything. Thanks.
