NEW: Mass Deportation Coalition Releases Playbook to Deport ALL Illegal Aliens from the United States A roadmap for President Trump to fulfill his campaign promise to “carry out the largest deportation operation in American history.”

Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in President Trump's challenge to restore the original meaning and intent of "Birthright Citizenship" under the 14th Amendment. This case results from President Trump's Executive Order on "Protecting The Meaning And Value Of American Citizenship," in which he rightly argues that "the Fourteenth Amendment has never been interpreted to extend citizenship universally to everyone born within the United States." One of the main things we aim to do here at CBL is to equip pastors and Christians to think biblically, constitutionally, and rightly about major political debates in America, especially when most "evangelical" outlets push Left-leaning narratives or simply abandon the field to the mainstream media. To that end, here's a /🧵/ with four excellent articles on the topic that we recommend to any pastor or Christian trying to better understand the issue from @RodDMartin, @benrcrenshaw, @WadeMiller, and @DrJohnEastman

🎙️NEW EPISODE: Today on The Sword & The Trowel podcast, @tomascol talks with @WillyRice, Pastor of Calvary Church in Clearwater, Florida. They discuss the upcoming Southern Baptist Convention and the need for renewal among Baptists. They also talk about Willy's nomination for SBC President and the desire to have real unity happen within SBC leaders and churches. Dropping at 4:00pm ET wherever you get your podcast. founders.org/the-sword-the-…

How should Christians think about the Birthright Citizenship battle between Donald Trump and the Supreme Court? @RodDMartin breaks it down: “Birthright citizenship, as it is currently interpreted, is a misreading of the 14th Amendment and a severe threat to American sovereignty. It fuels illegal immigration, burdens taxpayers, and erodes the fundamental meaning of citizenship.” centerforbaptistleadership.org/the-case-again…

.@rhett_burns could be the Southern Baptist success Yoda — if only they’d listen to him.

“Back when Southern Baptists were soldiers serving in Jesus Christ’s army, a formidable juggernaut of Baptist influence arose on this continent, detectable across a staggering swath of geography connecting the two great oceans of the Western Hemisphere” recalls @mdevine60 These were the Baptists that were rallied to save the Convention, turning out over 50,000 messengers in 1985. Where did they go? What happened? Where are the “mobilizable Baptists of yesteryear?” Dr. DeVine argues that the seeker-sensitive movement, which breeds denominational disinterest, destroy our identity. And men don’t mobilize for “non-things.” A must read Part Three in our “Southern Baptist Reckoning” series! centerforbaptistleadership.org/a-southern-bap…

Our old friends at the Evangelical Immigration Table are still trying to buy the SBC's voice. EIT-member World Relief just hired Lifeway to conduct a biased survey for SBC consumption, claiming "Protestant pastors" overwhelmingly support open immigration policies. Let's look under the hood. cc: @megbasham baptistpress.com/resource-libra…
