I will never understand the return of large, thick eyeglass frames as a fashion. I spent years trying to escape them. What's next: starched collars? Spats? Zoot suits? Top hats? Pocket protectors? Powdered wigs?

I have no idea what Prince William really thinks about religion. I have a question, though, for friends who are knowledgeable about the Church of England. If the monarch is an unbeliever (or not a believing Christian or not an Anglican) can he or she nevertheless serve as Supreme Governor of the Church of England?

@JonahDispatch I use handling nitroglycerin as a way to talk about politics. Politics are far more unstable and dangerous than we realize and shouldn’t be treated like a fandom.

Totally true. I also expected to spend much more time talking about, and dealing with, quicksand.
And, frankly, when I was a kid I thought that when I grew up, I’d have to deal with the risks of transporting nitroglycerin. Hasn’t frick’n come up once.

This is sad. I know as a politician these companies are going to spend a billion dollars against me for saying it but 🤷🏽♀️ Pervasive gambling is not good for society. It turns life into a casino, traps people in addiction & debt, surges domestic violence, and fosters manipulation.

James Patterson is one of the biggest selling authors of all time. He’s had over 100 NYT bestsellers and cranks out 10-15 books a year. He pretty much admitted he writes an outline and has assistants write a draft which he polishes. Nobody questions if those are really his books.
