The Canadiens (led by a good GM in Kent Hughes) did nothing at the deadline because while his team was in his playoff spot, he knew it was not time to go for it. They are 12-3 since the deadline, playing like a stress free fun team. The Islanders decided to trade for Schenn, Palat and Soucy thus applying pressure and expectations for a team that was carried by one of the best goalie performances of the decade at the time. They are 7-8 since the deadline and their coach literally (for some reason) admitted to them being nervous before the Philly game. Btw I still do like the Dobson deal for the Islanders tho, just insane he went aggressive at the deadline for older guys. Insane. Thats enough from me tonight.

Somewhat random stat of the day, but couldn't help but notice how often Alex Newhook is winning faceoffs. Since returning from a broken ankle Feb. 26, he's at 49.6%. Over this eight-game winning streak he's at 59.3%! He won just 42.8% of them last season, so big improvement.

@Chrisrich012 @futurdgduCH L'an dernier je l'ai trouvé correct et il a été fort en 2021 à sa âge. L'affaire c'est que si on veux qu'il soit utile en série, il doit avoir des tournois comme Marchessault ou Kessel ont eu, car un gros ailier complet comme Slaf ou les Tkachuk seront toujours plus utiles.
