@RyanHanaWWP If there’s no major roster changes or bench changes next season all hope is lost for next season. Tough choices had to be made up and down the roster. I don’t think coaching is an issue btw but everything is on the table as there’s likely no changes in the front office coming.

Burchie does a good job explaining why it's complicated. Kane doesn't play a heavy 200 ft game the team strives for Yet he was a 3rd on the team in 5 on 5 scoring for a team that struggles in that area (& +5) and comes cheap Since March 1st has 24 points in 21 games #LGRW

The Red Wings offense cannot afford to lose Patrick Kane at this point. Think of it what you will, but the reality is Detroit's scoring woes are already severe enough - removing his production & chemistry with their best scorer would make the hole too deep to climb out of. #LGRW

@furioustheguy @SeanPBali @NHL But you don’t have to. This isn’t something they always did. They do that more for TV than travel. The Wings would play every other day when they were forced to be in the West

@Alanificial @SeanPBali @NHL That wouldn't work very well because every time an east-west matchup would change location, you'd have to add another rest day. Add that up through 4 rounds and the post season would last well into the summer. I do agree to bring back 1-8 though.

Hey @NHL stop this absurdity It looks like the #2 team in the West will be playing the #3 team in the West in the FIRST round In the East the two teams currently tied for 3rd will meet in the first round. Just go to 1-8 already.

@soccerhaus @SeanPBali @NHL I’m sorry, travel excuses is old and out dated. These teams have private jets, these players have likely been traveling all over since age 10 & Detroit was forced to be in the west for decades and no one seemed to care. They also didn’t get extra days off for travel back then too
