@TooTall199 @gameinformer Counterpoint: I love playing solo, it's tense as hell. It's basically a different game. If you like that or not is subjective though.

@gameinformer Quick review: It’s good if you have a premade team of 3. If playing solo, I cannot recommend in its current state. There is much more action than your typical extraction shooter and it does feel unique, but the solo experience isn’t very enjoyable.

@RiseOfBacon @MacticsG1 Agreed - I've got genuinely no idea what the arg actually involved prior to the bot part. Keep hearing about puzzle solving but I've got no idea! Guess it's not for me, that's fine if others enjoy themselves. Just doesn't feel like a 'community' event.

@MacticsG1 If I’m honest I’m not interested because it gets funnelled to Discords and certain channels and they take it over No beef with that, best way to go about it but if there’s nothing to really contribute you just have to wait for it to be over I am killing all the robots now 👌🏼

I wish this marathon ARG had more in game impact or events as part of solving the steps It feels a lot less immersive than other ARGs we have had in the past like corridors or chesstiny and as a result I think people arent nearly as interested in it

@PaulTassi I just figure that aren't for me; I see people getting hyped but I've got no idea what's going on. This extends to the D2 ones too.

I regret my comments about ARGs which are cool and fun. I was just being a cranky old man

@SperanzaIntel I played 140 hours in the month after launch, absolutely loved it but dipped when I'd had enough. Suspect many are the same, not every game has to be a 'forever' game.

There’s nothing to hide. The player base is slowly but surely declining. What can Embark realistically do to fix this? Is it the lack of content? The repetitive gameplay loop? Cheaters? What do you think, Raiders?

@anon_opin I remember the days when you just ordered your meal at a till, and the server reached behind, grabbed your chosen burger, picked up a bag of fries (while your drink poured,) and just handed them straight to you on a tray.

The whole point of a fast-food restaurant is that I should be able to get my food within a few minutes of ordering. This has become a thing of the past, thanks to the fifty Deliveroo men that haunt every single restaurant, and always get priority over the customers in store.

@misteropulence @DattosDestiny Agree, though it's a take that'll get you some heat! I don't want drastically reduced, sitting around got 1 min 20 secs waiting for a grenade to come back, abilities, but they are too 'free' at the moment. It kills primaries and invalidates builds that can't spam abilities

@DattosDestiny And like, don't get me wrong, I loved when liars handshake was busted. But now it's just like, I want guns to truly shine and abilities to be toned down. I dunno, maybe everything is just too stale now and I'm jaded.

@SunE_Boy @TauCetiGG He was exploring this sort of art before marathon was even conceptualized and was likely following antireal because they share similar taste in the art they wish to explore. Like some of his pieces from earlier in the 2010's shows that he's had this vision from the start.

@RiseOfBacon @pugwash110 @LlamaOnD2 I think generally I agree - they are super clunky in LFG. In principle feats are a good idea - tougher difficulty = better loot. But Bungie has blown up the loot economy everywhere *but* here, which feels wierd. Seems like people with stable/ available teams like feats more.

@pugwash110 @LlamaOnD2 Tbh I feel that it can and is both. They’d be no ambiguity if it was just ‘LFG doing challenges / master’ I don’t think it’s just the LFG thing anyway. It’s just part of it. I don’t mind the game challenging me and rotating in its challenge. For me it’s just unneeded layers

I know I'm feeding into what might just be ragebait here but like??? Feats are so much better than old master, they make the Raid/Dungeon harder without feeling like champ spam + higher delta, plus the fact that you get better/higher tier loot from running feats just...makes sense! Harder activity = better gear earned, don't really see what's wrong with that? I was personally very glad to see them added to Equilibrium and I cannot wait to do a 5 feat run to see what it's like (plus I'm pretty sure Equilibrium is the first Dungeon to feature encounter challenges which is awesome!) Really would like to hear what people don't like about them?
