Allowing a sick country with demented leadership to have a nuclear weapon. If I allowed that to happen like 7 other presidents did -- you know, many of them are saying off the record and behind the scenes they should've done this a long time ago. Every one of those presidents should've done it and actually, as you know, off the record, they're doing it off the record because they haven't got the courage to say it -- those presidents are giving me a lot of credit. This should've been done by Obama, Clinton, the Bushes.

We went to war to end the Nazi regime during the Great Depression. We didn’t give a shit about gas prices, because we saw being indifferent and isolationist didn’t stop the Japanese from hitting Pearl Harbor, it actually most likely caused it.
Evil regimes don’t give a shit if you leave them alone. They prefer it.
To answer your question, yes, the Gas prices are worth it. The alternative was Haji Hitler with a nuke aimed at America.

One thing that I have learned by going back and forth with Europeans about NATO is their delusion is staggering.
They put out infographics about how they “pay 90% of their own defense” while their militaries cant field a combat-ready division without calling Washington.
They tell us to pull out while fighting a war with US weapons. They say nobody gives a F*ck anymore while their entire security architecture runs on American hardware, American intel, and American nukes they dont have.
And then in the next breath they lecture us about healthcare. You want to know why we dont have socialized healthcare and maternity leave? Because for 75 years the money went to defending a continent that has benefited so much from the US, that they think it’s easy.
The entitlement is just annoying.

This is probably something that people won't agree on for a few years until the dust settles, but:
Iran regime left in disarray with no clear leadership.
Our nato allies weren't listening to us for years anyway and most would not contribute when asked.
The us does not care what happens in the straight since we don't get anything from there anyway; we were holding it open for the benefit of others and they never even said thank you (simplified, but still generally true.).
With oil out of the straight disrupted, Chinese plans for Taiwan are disrupted and we wouldn't need as many munitions, if they are needed at all; and we can just build more anyway.
Iran has no navy, no air force, severely depleted stock piles of munitions and reduced capacity to make more.

@Balmun Iran regime not toppled, America abdicating leadership and likely most of our bases in the region, transit through the Strait happens on Iran's terms.
Not to mention depletion of our expensive weapons stores to wind up with an arguably worse position with regard to Iran.
