1/ Our PI of the week is Dr. Dalia Barsyte-Lovejoy (@BarsyteDalia). After obtaining a PhD in molecular cell biology and toxicology from the @OfficialUoM, she studied kinase-transcription factor signaling during her postdoctoral training at @OICR_news.

6/ Dr. Mattoo has continued to be one of our favorite chaperone code researchers and her most recent work shows that the HYPE-BiP interaction maintains ER homeostasis. link.springer.com/article/10.100… We look forward to seeing what will come next for the Mattoo Lab!

5/ Of course, we are especially excited by her studies on PTMs on chaperones! Her 2015 paper in @jbiolchem demonstrated the ability of HYPE, a human Fic protein to localize to the ER and adenylate BiP, the ER-resident Hsp70: sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

1/ Our PI of the week is Dr. Seema Mattoo (@MattooLab), Associate Professor at Purdue University in Indiana (@LifeAtPurdue). After obtaining a PhD in Microbiology & Immunology @UCLA, she pursued a post-doctoral fellow @ucsd and went on to work as a research scientist at HHMI.

4/ Although previous studies have observed connections between #Hsp70 phosphorylation candida pathogenesis (sciencedirect.com/science/articl…), the role of Hsp90 PTMs in candida has remained unclear.

1/ Our PI of the week is Dr. Stephanie Diezmann (@diezmannlab). She has published over 20 high profile papers and her work has been cited nearly 1500 times! Dr. Diezmann obtained a degree in Biology from @HumboldtUni and a PhD from @DukeU.
