18Z NAM coming in with a problematic setup for Ohio/Indiana on Sunday. If the EML CAN be lifted and cooled sunday, and moisture return is big, we could see a big setup for these areas. Take it with a grain of salt rn, its the NAM and this would be ahigh end scenario

@amarkowitzWX Maybe it’s just me but a crap ton of wind gust reports in high population areas bringing down tree branches and blowing lose debris around isn’t verification of a wind driven cig2 moderate risk. And if it is then a level 4/5 risk really isn’t all that serious.

Does public perception match reality? Clearly the tornado threat did not pan out but the damaging wind forecast ended verifying quite well, even underestimating in the NYC Metro. Although, it could be a bit of grade inflation due to population weight and weaker tree durability.
