There is a huge dumb elephant in the room right now. People I respect and people I can't stand are saying something so stupid I have to point it out. Anyone on the left or right that talks about being against "forever wars" that does not talk about how we are STILL in Japan, Germany, and Korea looks like an ignorant fool. That they do not demand we immediately pull out of Japan, Germany, and Korea shows they are all hypocrites, idiots, or both. I'm not for forever wars. I'm not against forever wars. I think it is idiotic to make a blanket statement either way. And I think the naïveté demonstrated by all sides on this is utterly shocking.

Now that Cesar Chavez is credibly accused of sexual abuse of numerous women, including 12 and 13-year-old girls, I presume we are going to be releasing any and all government files pertaining to him, scrutinize his relationships with other labor leaders and the Democratic Party, publish his private correspondence, and consider as tainted or (possibly even complicit) anyone who met with him or traveled with him, particularly in the presence of young girls. That's how this goes, right?
