The technique that separates a good advertorial from one that runs for a year: The emotional bookend. You open a wound early in the story. You close it with the product in place. The Derila Ergo funnel I broke down last month did this perfectly. The grandfather couldn't hear his granddaughter's whisper. By the end of the advertorial, he hears every word. The reader experienced the full arc: loss, pain, discovery, resolution. By the time they reached the CTA, they weren't evaluating a product. They were imagining themselves in that chair. You don't sell a hearing aid. You sell being present in your own life again. That's what the bookend does. It makes the product feel like a life decision, not a purchase.
