I’ll always stand with people over profit. The health of St. Louis residents must be the first consideration when outside developers look to build data centers in our neighborhoods. St. Louis has already suffered for decades from projects that have been forced on our communities in the past. This time, our leaders must listen to the people and keep our families from being exposed to uncertain risks.

Many protestors, including SMC member on the NPC Jeremy Cohan, were arrested for opposing Trump and Hochul's tax cuts on NY's elite. Tax the rich.🌹

The St. Louis Board of Public Service’s decision to approve the construction of a data center near the Armory at a time when the cost of water, electricity, and other utilities are already on the rise for residents across St. Louis is completely unacceptable. Community input must be paramount when private developers and the AI industry come to St. Louis seeking to extract profit, not serve the people. Any decisions that impact our neighborhoods must respect the voices of St. Louis residents over outside interests. For decades, St. Louis has suffered from higher rates of serious, deadly illnesses and other long-term health effects that come as a result of projects that were forced on our communities without transparency or public engagement. From Coldwater Creek to the West Lake Landfill, these failures have left lasting harm that we are still recovering from now. St. Louis deserves the investment and resources needed to recover from past environmental catastrophes, not potential exposure to new and uncertain risks. I’m committed to building a St. Louis where our environment is protected, our utility bills aren’t skyrocketing, and where our community’s voices are centered before any decision is made that affects our health and well-being.
