To all the Senate Republicans trying to make the SAVE Act happen, let me say it again: We are NOT 👏 going 👏 to 👏 pass 👏your 👏 voter suppression bill. Period.

You are a traitor to America and should lose your seat in Congress. The SAVE Act simply requires proof of citizenship to vote. Only citizens are legally allowed to vote. If you're fighting against verifying that... then please explain exactly who you're trying to protect. Because the rest of us would really like to know. You show ID to buy alcohol. You show ID to board a plane. You show ID to open a bank account, pick up a prescription, check into a hotel, and buy a gun. Nobody calls any of that suppression. The moment we ask someone to prove they're a citizen before they decide the direction of this country, suddenly it's an attack on democracy? That argument doesn't hold up and you know it. What you're really saying is that the barrier to voting should be lower than the barrier to buying A SIX PACK OF BEER. Let that sink in. And don't give me the "millions will be disenfranchised" bullshit. If someone is a legal citizen of the United States and cannot produce a single document proving it, there are 50 agencies and organizations that will help them get one. That process exists. You just don't want people to use it. The only people harmed by the SAVE Act ARE THE PEOPLE WHO SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN VOTING IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!! I am SICK TO DEATH of you Democrats pretending that illegal voting is actually a civil rights rights issue. It is not. Legal voters deserve a clean, verified election. Every illegitimate ballot cast cancels out a legitimate one. That's the actual disenfranchisement NO DEMOCRAT wants to talk about. This is accountability. This is basic verification. This is what every functioning democracy on earth already does. The fact that you're willing to hold up Congressional business to block it says everything about whose votes you actually value.
