@MrPatMineo If they can prove it’s a case by case basis where the rules only apply to some especially the most talented they should file suit for discrimination. Not for nothing AD’s from opposing towns should not hold that decision in their hands it’s a conflict of interest and bias.

And here we go again… In what seems like a repeat of last year, another #1 state ranked wrestler has been deemed ineligible for the #PIAA post-season. Anthony Mutarelli left Malvern Prep and returned to public school, Council Rock South, for his junior year- a place he’s lived his whole life. He is ranked #1 at 133 lbs… Because of PIAA’s “rules” that are usually only applied to the best wrestlers (as seen below), he will not be able to compete for a state title this year. If you recall, this same exact sickening scenario happened to Pottsville’s Nick Kunstek last year after leaving Blair, he was ranked #1 in the state and could not wrestle post-season. First of all, this rule is stupid, but why have rules if they are only applied to 20% of the athletes (typically the best ones). Very political… A kid is wrestling for his home team, isn’t that what people want? Why block him? Why weaken the field? Just another day in PA, the best wrestling state with some of the absolute worst athletic oversight! It’s a shame.
