@Akintola_steve @PsudoMike Java or .Net been used in the banking space has very little to do with the technical details(types and others). It's more of ecosystem, reliability (battle tested), security and most importantly legacy (most banking systems are old so consistency and easy integration)

@PsudoMike So basically from your explanation you’re tilting towards Postgres dB and node JS ? Now which leads me to the next question why do most banking solutions then tilts towards .NET or Java ?

You are very strong in Node.js and Java. You also have solid depth in databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, time-series databases, and MSSQL Server. A client reaches out to you saying they want to build an application in the fintech space. What would be your choice of stack and architecture, with proper reasoning?

So I did a thing. I got requirements to build a mobile app from a partner. I created skills for how to structure flutter apps from the implementation I used for Achieve. Turned the requirements into a plan for my Ralph agent. Went out to drive. Came back to my app ready. Of course it's not perfect yet, but damn is it close!

@TheDumbTechGuy My take: if you are able to convince yourself you will need microservices in the future, start with modular monolith. In that future that might never come, just add proper devOps and you can get your dreamed microservices. But always ask yourself if you need it 🙃

@Akintola_steve Microservices on the table again, sad when people always copy architecture with proper context. Burning company's revenue when one digital ocean droplet could have done the job. In the end I think we fall in love with the tech so much that we forget why we are building it

A startup spent 8 months building their product with microservices. 14 services. Kubernetes. API gateway. Service mesh — the whole setup. They had 3 developers… and zero users. By month 9, nobody could deploy anything without breaking something else.

@TheDumbTechGuy @soulpee 2. The data in the Jwt is public(base64), so if you keep vital info there and the FE saves it (because he must use it in other requests until expired) you are exposing too much.. And more. Just read the OAuth 2.0 guidelines or explore JWE or PASETO

@TheDumbTechGuy @soulpee I think it's part of the state And the jwt is not meant for the client to decode, because of a couple of reasons: 1. Normally the FE won't verify the jwt with the necessary key, so how do you confirm the jwt is coming from your actual BE. So a hacker the exploit the FE

🌟 Tech Spotlight: Paul Boamah, @LoopTeam3 Paul Boamah’s journey into tech is anything but conventional. Trained in the sciences but driven by an insatiable curiosity for technology, Paul made the bold leap from chemistry to code, and has since carved out a remarkable path as a software engineer shaping financial technology in Ghana. Today, Paul works as a Senior Software Engineer at @StanbicBankGH, where he’s a key part of the team transforming banking experiences through digital innovation. His expertise spans JavaScript, AngularJS, and backend development. Beyond the bank he serves as the lead for @Flutter_Ghana. In this role, he helps in advancing mobile development through workshops, events, and mentorship and nurturing the next generation of Flutter developers across the country. His community efforts are rooted in the same principle that guides his code: building together, and building for impact. His previous experiences include a year-long stint as a Mobile Application Developer at Insurerity Digital Ltd., where he created tools that streamlined insurance processes across Ghana and beyond. Paul Boamah represents what’s possible when curiosity meets commitment. He continues to push boundaries — proving that great developers aren’t just born in comp sci classrooms, but forged through passion, practice, and a desire to create meaningful change.

In v20 the Angular CLI is finally able to entirely drop webpack from its minimal dependencies. That results in a reduction of 40% of the number of downloaded packages !

Be honest, when the day comes when #RxJS becomes optional within #Angular, will you still be adding it to your new projects? 😁
