BUSINESSS ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT FEDERATION The escalating US-Israeli war with Iran which has culminated in the closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has disrupted roughly 20% of the world's daily oil supply, sending Brent crude prices surging well above US$100 per barrel for the first time since the 2022 energy crisis. He further adds that this strategic, bold move by His Excellency President Cde Dr. E.D Mnangagwa's administration to cushion the domestic economy, executed as a deliberate fiscal sacrifice in the national interest will go a long way in stabilizing prices of essential goods and services, sustaining the nation's economic recovery momentum and firmly anchoring inflation expectations which is a clear affirmation of the Second Republic's unwavering commitment to safeguarding livelihoods amidst global turbulence.
