@TylerPurcell24 Self-regulation. "Training every day, no matter how you feel," sounds like a flex but long-term can be detrimental. You wake up feeling not so great and in the back of your mind you may think, "I really need a day off," and here is some data that backs up that feeling.

This blows my mind. I used Whoop for a while. Here’s what I found: - I wasn’t using the data to change anything I workout almost daily no matter how i feel. Bad sleep rating? I have 3 kids. I can’t just catch up on sleep and recovery. Who is truly finding this information invaluable and actually using it to improve their life?
Will Ahmed@willahmed

BREAKING: WHOOP RAISES $575M AT $10.1B VALUATION  I am pleased to announce that we’ve raised $575M at a $10.1B valuation to accelerate our mission of unlocking human performance and healthspan globally. This round was led by Collaborative Fund with participation from 2PointZero Group, Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Mubadala Investment Company, Abbott, Mayo Clinic, Macquarie Capital, Glade Brook, B-Flexion, IVP, Foundry, Accomplice, Affinity Partners, Promus Ventures, and Bullhound Capital alongside a group of individual investors including Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, Rory McIlroy, Virgil van Dijk, and Mathieu van der Poel. This investor group and this moment reflect a powerful evolution underway for Whoop and the broader healthcare market. Whoop was born in performance - trusted by the best athletes in the world to train, recover, and compete at the highest level. That foundation remains core to who we are. You see that in the iconic athlete investors joining this round.  But it also represents our push into broader health.  In the past 12 months, WHOOP has received medical clearances, launched blood testing, and created a platform that has saved lives. Abbott and Mayo Clinic - two of the most respected and influential institutions in global healthcare - are now investors in Whoop. These are organizations that have shaped modern medicine. Their decision to partner with us is a clear validation of where our technology is headed. Healthcare systems around the world are reactive. For too long, they have waited for people to get sick, then intervene. Chronic disease is rising and costs continue to climb. At Whoop, we believe the future looks fundamentally different. We are building the most powerful, personal, preventive health platform in the world - powered by continuous biometric data, advanced analytics, and AI to help people understand their bodies and improve their health in real time. I am grateful to our team, our members, and our partners for believing in this vision. I’ve been building this company for 14 years and I’ve never been more excited for the future.

@BillMelugin_ Reason #175544774338 that every politician should also stop receiving their pay when there’s a shut down. Why are they exempt but the workers that actually keep the US running have to work unpaid?

BREAKING: Acting TSA Administrator Ms. Ha Nguyen McNeill testifies before Congress that TSA is currently suffering the longest wait times in agency history, with callout rates hitting 40-50% at some airports and more than 480 employees quitting since the shutdown began. McNeil testifies that TSA has been shut down for half of fiscal year 2026, and $1 billion in TSA paychecks will be missed if the shutdown isn't ended by Friday. She testified that to make ends meet, TSA officers have been selling blood and plasma and sleeping in their cars. Some have received eviction notices, missed bill payments and accrued late fees, damaged their credit, and have defaulted on loans, but are “still expected to perform at the highest level”.

@SupaScottyTheDJ @NireeMusic @iamrahstradamus Unpaid internships in any field are not "free" on the job training (most jobs pay for training). The intern pays once for the semester of college credit via the internship and pays again by giving their labor away unpaid. Plantations had a similar description to yours.

Here’s where I step in. I’m not one of these I hate capitalist or rich people type guys because I’m a hustler too. Make your money & I will too however, your company Roc nation literally couldn’t survive without unpaid interns who did the exact same work as paid employees. Many of the unpaid interns were from urban communities and it was tough on them to work for free and yet they got nothing but the ability to put Roc Nation on their resume, many didn’t even get full time jobs at Roc Nation or the music industry after their internships because we all know nepotism and being connected matters more than anything in the music industry. The music industry as a whole takes advantage of people & people within the music industry use their talent, clout and the fact that everyone else wants to work in entertainment to not pay people their worth.

I mean that depends on what you mean by should. Like what's the bare minimum relative strength level for just overall health and longevity? I'd say for most men if you can't bench your body weight or deadlift 1.5 your body weight, you are probably weak enough that it is going to negatively affect your life at some point in the future if it isn't already. Or you’re really fat. So bw multiples aren’t always great measure of strength. If you're really fat it's going to be really hard to hit those numbers as well but it doesn’t necessarily mean you are weak or under muscled and “need” more strength/muscle. That's why for just strength standards for baseline health and longevity I generally like absolute numbers better than relative numbers. But in order for them to kind of make sense there also has to be some component of BMI or endurance ability. As an absolute floor level of strength, I would say for men it's about a 135 bench and a 225 deadlift. I would say that's roughly equivalent to a 28:00 5k. Like if you can't hit those strength numbers, regardless of your body weight, you are almost certainly under-muscled to the point that it will negatively impact you, especially as you get older. Just as if you are so out of shape that you can't run a 28:00 5K, you are very likely out of shape (and/or fat) enough that it is going to negatively impact you as you get older, if it isn't already.

@BraddrofliT The sum of all things. So much bad has happened, yet no big, sudden repercussions felt, so it "must not be THAT bad". Unfortunately, Americans must be jolted & personally inconvenienced into action. Hyper individualism and lack of accountability is a bad mixture.

as I have been saying for 2 weeks.....and in recent days all of the "experts" are saying, this would be the most suicidal military move... 1. Iran is not going to just allow a convoy of MEUs with a few thousand Marines through the straits to get to the island. We are in a war, they will sink them 2. An airborne assault out of Kuwait, or a fucking airborne parachute drop as the other option is ridiculous 3. The island is 15 miles offshore from the mainland...literally in fucking MORTAR range at least.....drones and missiles and artillery will just pound the tiny "excursion" of troops on a tiny island that has no bunkers, no where to hide 4. Zero logistical support for any troops that actually get there What the fuck are we doing?
GeoInsider@InsiderGeo

NEW: Israeli sources are increasingly pointing to a possible U.S. ground operation against Iran, likely limited and focused on Kharg Island and the Strait of Hormuz. The objective would be clear: hit Iran’s oil lifeline and force Tehran back to the table.

That road is Route 1 in Iceland. A week driving it costs roughly $2,500 per person. Flights from the US run $500-600 round trip. Gas is $8-9 per gallon. A glacier hike is $125. A night in a decent hotel near Vatnajökull is $160-200. Total tab for two people to spend a week staring at that glacier instead of a monitor: somewhere around $7,000. The median American household earns that in about 18 working days. Sitting in a room. Staring at a screen. The people who actually drive that road on a random Tuesday in March fall into two categories: retirees who stared at screens for 40 years and saved enough to stop, or remote workers who figured out how to stare at a screen from Reykjavik instead of a cubicle in Ohio. Both paths run through the screen. The photo is real. The freedom it represents costs $7,000 and 10 days of PTO. The device you’re reading this complaint on is the same device that books the flight.

Not only am I not convinced Kamala Harris would have been worse, with each passing day it becomes more clear the opposite is true. Harris as president with a GOP House and Senate would have been far preferable to what we have now. At a minimum, Republicans would still be pretending to support smaller government, lower taxes, and restraint. When one faction abandons its stated values and replaces them with a culture of lying, corruption, and whatever this current spectacle is, it damages the entire ecosystem that keeps politicians even somewhat honest. Remove that pressure and you get a political class that no longer even feels the need to pretend. What makes this all the more frustrating is that this is coming from someone who genuinely despised the Kamala Harris campaign, her politics, and frankly her as a person.

Josh Shapiro won statewide in PA 3X, including when he first ran for governor in 2022 and won by 15 points. In 2026, he'll likely win by 20 points. Dems would be crazy not to seriously consider nominating him for President. PA would instantly be out of reach for Republicans.

Every time I watch one of these clips, I keep thinking about how these boys are actually older here than they were when pressing buttons for Doge and ripping vital agencies apart. And then I think about how young they must have been when Peter Thiel or Elon found them and groomed them to do their bidding. And then I think about alllll the communication between Peter Thiel and Epstein and Elon begging to go to depraved Epstein island parties. And then I throw up.

I served as the FBI's senior official -- Acting Legal Attache -- in Mexico City between 2013 and 2014. I cannot begin to tell you how consequentially Snowden's espionage and Assange's illegal dump of sensitive and classified information contributed to the damaging of relationships between the United States and our allies -- to include the Mexican Government. Pardoning these two would be a colossal mistake and would reward them for criminal, and arguably, treasonous misconduct. I was beyond incensed when President Obama commuted PFC Bradley (Chelsea) Manning's sentence in 2017, and I'd be equally incensed if it occurred here with Assange and Snowden under President Trump. Rewarding bad behavior encourages more of same. These three traitors did incalculable damage to our country and undermined U.S. efforts worldwide. Disgusting and shameful.
Bethany O’Leary 🇺🇸 🦅@BBMagaMom

🚨BREAKING: Reports are circulating that President Trump is “Strongly considering” pardoning Julian Assange and Edward Snowden, and possibly bringing them in to help expose corruption inside the intelligence community. If that actually happens, it would trigger one of the biggest political and intelligence earthquakes Washington has seen in decades. I hope he does it! 🔥
