@AmitSegal Does Iran understand that the U.S. does not have the authority to grant Iran control of the Strait of Hormuz??

New details emerging on the difficulties in U.S.–Iran negotiations: As of now, Iran is only willing to commit to not developing nuclear weapons, while the U.S. is pushing for concrete steps to reduce enriched uranium—either by selling it, transferring it abroad, or diluting it. A major sticking point is the Strait of Hormuz: Iran wants it under its management, while the U.S. insists on full freedom of navigation. There’s also no agreement on financial relief. Qatar has stepped in with a proposal to provide Iran a $12B humanitarian loan. Notably, Lebanon is now part of the broader framework under discussion.

That's not at all how geopolitical influence works. Culture exports get entrenched, agreements are enforced across admins. But more importantly, developing nations that aren't squarely on one side or the other are spending years getting foreign benefit without US influence. That is momentum that does not get to stop and turn on a dime. But this also isn't a problem of just Trump, because voters put him in power and enabled the members of Congress who let him go unchecked. That is what allies will be wary of, the fact that the voter could be this stupidly insular again in the future.

here is what i did......i designed this..... what have you done? Former California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner spearheaded a major initiative in 2009 targeting Iran. He ordered a historic probe into the insurance industry to identify and halt investments in Iranian government holdings to restrict its nuclear program and terror financing. The Initiative's Core Elements: The Probe: Poizner required over 1,300 licensed California insurance companies to disclose their ties, unearthing roughly 12 billion in assets tied to Iran's business partners. The Policy: It was the first Iran divestment policy ordered by insurance regulators in the United States, designed to pressure the regime by cutting off insurance premium investments.

@RobertJMolnar What they’ll do is cut deals with the big oil companies. Instead of paying a toll for every ship big oil will pay a monthly tribute to IRGC to move as much oil as they want. So instead of $2 million a ship to move 40 ships at $80 million they’ll just pay $20 million a month.

In the new peace deal, Trump has been forced to let Iran charge a toll fee on the Strait of Hormuz. He has agreed. But they won’t call it a toll fee. They will call it a service fee and environmental tax. America already unfroze 12 billion and sent it to Qatar banks. The Trump administration is in a hurry to make a deal. Another 8 billion is waiting for the second phase. However, Iran is demanding 100 billion. They don’t look like they’re compromising on that. JD Vance and Kushner are pushing hard for a quick deal. On the other side, Hegseth and Netanyahu are furious. They’re saying if America signs this, the world will never take America seriously again. Because Iran will walk away with permanent control of the Strait of Hormuz. Plus, they will keep their enriched uranium. In other words, Iran will be a lot stronger than what they were before the war. That's why Netanyahu and Hegseth want to restart Operation Epic Fury. Trump is trapped in an extremely tricky situation.

all bait and switch..... they have 10-12 nukes worth of HEU they have 200 bombs worth of plutonium and are no doubt building the reprocessing facilities deep underground to shift to plute nukes so they give up their HEU, get tens of billions of dollars, and off they go to plute nukes people underestimate the knowledge of Iran's nuclear scientists, which is why Israel keeps whacking them whenever they can.....

REPORT: High-ranking sources tell Al-Arabiya that Iran is willing to send its highly enriched uranium stockpile to China, seeking guarantees from Beijing before entering any agreement with the U.S. Take this report with caution.

now do their plutonium which they have 200 bombs worth of when refined to weapons grade amateur Plutonium Inventory In spent fuel at Bushehr: Estimates indicate roughly 2,000–2,100 kg of plutonium contained in about 210 tons of spent fuel stored in the reactor's pool. This comes from the reactor's operation (a ~1,000 MWe light-water reactor). Calculations use IAEA power production data and typical plutonium yields (~0.25 g per MWd-thermal, higher for initial fuel). Weapons potential if extracted: Assuming ~10 kg of plutonium per bomb (a conservative figure for a basic implosion design; advanced designs need less), this could theoretically support more than 200 nuclear weapons
Richard Goldberg@rich_goldberg

We don’t just want all HEU out of Iran. We want all enriched uranium. POTUS says he wants all the nuclear dust. He doesn’t say only the dust at 60% or 20% purity level.
