After five years of collaboration, the Land, Soil and Crop Information Services to support Climate-Smart Agriculture in Eastern Africa (LSC-IS) project @ProjectLSC has successfully concluded with a regional closing event in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Funded by the @EU_Commission

Since 2021, the project has been active in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Rwanda, developing LSC Hubs to consolidate and connect existing datasets and information sources. The hubs offer open-access tools and data to support evidence-based agricultural decision-making.

Today, we celebrated the successful completion of our five-year journey with a closing event in Addis Ababa. Co-funded by the @EU_Commission DeSIRA programme, @DutchMFA Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ISRIC.

In September, @MusefaRedi1, PhD candidate at WUR and whose research contributes to LSC-IS, delivered a training on the application of the ISRIC Seedling Workflow for Digital Soil Mapping to the Africa Soil Information Community of Practice. Read more: lsc-hubs.org/2025/09/26/app…

The 5-day meeting on “Advancing Climate-Smart Agric through Rwanda’s LSC Hub,” held in Kigali, has concluded. Participants reviewed progress in the devt of the LSC-Hub, gathered feedback from national and subnational stakeholders&explored integration with other digital platforms.
