@SenHydeSmith NO Americans asked you for the SAVE Act, Cindy. We did NOT ask you to suppress the votes of women or make it difficult to impossible for people of color or low income folks to obtain documents that are hard to get. Suppressing Democrat votes is not radical, it's ILLEGAL!

Senator Cohen to FBI Director Kash Patel: “The people you fired were experts on Iran, were they not?” Patel: “I don’t believe so.” Cohen: “They worked in counterintelligence, did they not?” Patel: “I’m taking you at your word.” Cohen: “You’re the director. I’m not. You should know the answer.” The Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation does not know who he fired. Does not know if they were Iran experts. Does not know if they worked in counterintelligence. Is taking a senator’s word for it. This is the man running America’s domestic intelligence agency during the most severe national security crisis since 9/11. Iran has activated sleeper cells. Encrypted communications intercepted as operational triggers. A war with no exit strategy. Joe Kent resigned because the investigation was stopped. Charlie Kirk’s last words to Kent: stop us from getting into a war with Iran. And the FBI Director doesn’t know who he fired. Or what they knew. Or what America lost when they left. Republicans just shot down an amendment to the SAVE act ensuring a married woman's right to vote if she is properly registered. More proof that they don’t care about you. $200 BILLION IS ENOUGH TO: - Double the annual per‑person spending on K–12 education. - Expand the ACA tax credit for 7 years. - Provide up to 2 million people the SNAP benefits they need. - Provide a middle class tax break of $3,500. I have one question for the Republican Party today. Where is your backbone? Thune. McConnell. All of them. Where are you? Mitch McConnell is 84 years old. He has nothing left to lose. No more elections to win. No more favors to collect. No more political future to protect. And he can’t stand up and say this is not what the United States of America stands for? George Washington is literally on the wall behind you people. The man who voluntarily gave up power when he could have kept it forever. The man who warned us — in his farewell address — about exactly this kind of person. And you can’t find the words? We have removal procedures in this country for a reason. The founders didn’t put them there for decoration. They put them there because they had read enough history to know that men like this would eventually come. They built the exit door. All you have to do is use it. But instead Thune shuffles his papers. McConnell stares at the floor. And the rest of them calculate their primary margins and call it leadership. This isn’t complicated. This is a spine test. And the Republican Party is failing it in real time.
