There's no luck in cold email
If you're getting responses, it means you're doing something right
If you're getting ignored, it means you're doing something wrong
If you're not sure what exactly you're doing wrong, start by sending a test email to yourself and then answer this question:
"Would I reply to this email?"
99% of the time, the answer will be "No"
If that's the case, write down 3 reasons why you wouldn't respond
Then, fix those 3 things and send another test email to yourself
Repeat this process 5 times and your final script will be significantly better than the first

We recently added $45k in revenue to this supplement brand by building out their email channel.
In this post I’ll cover list growth, flow automations & email campaigns.
Before We Started
When they came to us, they barely had any email marketing set up.
They were on Klaviyo (which is the best email platform) but only had a couple basic flows (welcome flow & cart flow) and were only occasionally sending out campaigns.
Roughly 15% of their store revenue was being attributed to Klaviyo.
They were spending a lot on ads but had a huge leak in their funnel by not leveraging email marketing.

List Growth: 4% → 12.5% Submit Rate
Before working with us they had a popup form on Klaviyo that was converting roughly 4% of their store traffic to email subscribers.
That’s a decent start but far from optimized & had a ton of room for improvement.
So we built 2 new popup forms from scratch, 1 optimized for mobile & 1 for desktop.
We tested a new offer vs their previous one, implemented new targeting settings & added a ‘micro commit’ step on the popups before asking for their emails.
So the popup form sequence went like this: Micro commit (step 1) → Email opt in (step 2) → SMS opt in (step 3).
The result: their list growth rate tripled from 4% to 12.5%.

Flow Automations: $53k per month
This brand previously only had 2 basic flows set up, and they were of low quality & were getting low conversion rates.
We rebuilt those 2 flows and built out all the other flows that were missing from their account.
Here are the flows we built out:
Welcome Flow - Introduces new subs to the brand + converts them to 1st time customers
Abandoned Cart - Recovers people who abandoned their cart before purchasing
Abandoned Checkout - Recovers people who bounce at the checkout stage before purchasing (after the cart stage)
Browse Abandonment - Recovers people who viewed a product(s) but didn’t add them to their cart
Site Abandonment - Introduces bestselling products to people who were active on site but didn’t view any products
Post Purchase - Converts first time customers into repeat customers
Replenishment Reminder - Reminds customers to reup on their previous purchase after it runs out
The result is $53k per month generated by the flow automations.

Campaigns: $22k in 30 days
While the flow automations are excellent for converting traffic based on their behaviors on the website, campaigns nurture their subscribers until they are ready to buy.
Specifically we use campaigns to educate the list, send them valuable content, reach out to lapsed customers to win them back, give exclusive offers to nonpurchasers & reward VIPs.
All while tracking the performance of each content type & optimizing the campaign strategy based on what is performing the best & removing the lowest performers.
The result: $22k per month generated by campaigns.

Summary
Before working with us, they had the bare minimum set up in terms of email marketing. They lacked the time, bandwidth & expertise to manage the email marketing effectively in-house.
So they brought us in to build out their email marketing, and manage everything end-to-end so that it is fully hands off for them.
All of their emails are planned out, written, designed, scheduled, and optimized by us without them having to lift a finger (except for reviewing the emails that we send them before we publish them).
Now they have the bandwidth & additional profit (from new email sales) to focus on different marketing channels ie Meta ads, Google PPC.
Overall an extremely successful result for this account.
