It’s interesting that our only focus seems to be on what 97 will decide to do, whether that’s this summer or next or whenever. And it’s obviously because he only has a 2-year deal. But I mean, nothing is stopping Leon Draisaitl from asking out one day if that’s what he wanted. Not saying he will nor do I have any feeling he will. But just because he signed an 8-year deal doesn’t mean he will necessarily play it out all in Edmonton.

@JeffHall87 So funny story. My best friend and I were obsessed with wrestling and we had reserved WrestleMania 4 at Video Spot. We must have called the store 5 times to see if it was brought back yet. The deadline was 4pm and the previous renters brought it back well after 530pm

@byterryjones We absolutely do and have over the years. You can tell how passionate Draisaitl gets. They need more veteran depth. Savoie/Samanski are nice for the future, but they were not used to the intensity of the playoffs. Brown and Perry were Kane and Kulak were Huge difference

Edmonton Oiler fans should appreciate the honesty of Draisaitl and McDavid as well as Knoblauch and Bowman in today’s end of season autopsies. Nobody in denial.
