Chinese automaker XPENG’s CEO said LiDAR is no longer necessary for the automotive industry. XPENG has adopted a camera-vision approach with its new VLA 2.0 system. They also stated that cameras provide richer data per second than LiDAR, especially for end-to-end models, while noting that LiDAR can struggle in rain or fog and has power/safety limitations for long-range detection. Sounds like somebody is listening to Tesla.

I can’t confirm this update. Giga Mexico has been mostly post on hold since 2004 mainly because of expected Trump tax plan. I won’t make it a great deal until Tesla confirms it themselves

On Friday morning, a Tesla Model 3 with two passengers plunged 300 feet down after the driver veered off a cliff on Mulholland Highway in Malibu. Both were rescued and airlifted to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The @Tesla Model 3 saved their lives.

This happened back in January 2023 (about 3.5 years ago) when a California radiologist intentionally drove his Tesla off a cliff at Devil’s Slide with his wife and two young kids inside. He was going around 70 mph and they plunged roughly 250–300 feet down the rocky slope — yet miraculously, the whole family survived with relatively minor injuries

If you’re in/around the administration, you're obligated to keep up the narrative that AI is creating jobs. If you're a Democrat or America First/America Only, you're obligated to spread the job destruction narrative. That's how AOC and Steve Bannon find themselves on the same team. Do you agree? In my humbled opinion, while over discrimination against whites aren’t that outrageous, the discrimination against blacks are also exaggerated greatly, and that is causing social polarization. Politicians definitely made the situation unnecessarily worse because majority of they are too selfish to do what’s right. And we all get hurt when politicians are shortsighted and selfish. Canadian Coast to Coast with Tesla FSD is done! Myself, @DavidMoss and @scotsrule08 drove over 6,051km (3,760 miles) across Canada, through the Rockies, prairies, Canadian Shield, etc - all while using FSD. Canada threw just about everything it had at us along the way… construction, animals on the road, poor weather, bad drivers, etc - and we still managed to pull it off. This is a major milestone in autonomy and will hopefully help prove to people where we actually are today with regard to self-driving cars. What a fun 5 days it’s been - I can’t believe how many people have shown up to support us along the way! The Tesla community is incredible.
