Goes to show what abit more game-time can do! #ColU

@Tyler7Smith Hope you're right as next season will be devastating otherwise with half the squad OOC.
English

@WillTaylorr0 @OfficialUpTheUs Without a doubt would have gone down if it weren't for those 2

People will pick Mbick because of recency bias but without Joe Taylor we would have been relegated that season #colu
Up The U's@OfficialUpTheUs
Up first in the 'World Cup of loans' are quite possible the best 2 strikes we've had in recent years! Micah Mbick vs Joe Taylor! Both ruthless goal scorers and both players that fans fell in love with very quickly! Who gets your vote? Vote in the attached post below! #Colu | #WeAreUnited

@OfficialUpTheUs @WillTaylorr0 I've gone for Taylor. Surrounded by a poor team with poor managers. Imagine what he could have done this season. Imagine Mbick and Taylor together as a front 2!!
English

@WillTaylorr0 That’s why I thought of putting the two together both have done so much for the club,

Listening to Danny talk to @NeilKellyn on @BBCEssexSport there was definitely a strong hint at movement on the takeover situation soon...... 🤞🤞🤞🤞#ColU

@Jamie_Hudson_ Sooner he is out the door the better. Should have taken the Luton deal
English

Just can’t believe how awful this was. Doesn’t bother to look up, loses the ball and gives up on it, looks like he couldn’t care less #ColU

Great game, but one that again just sums up our season. If Mbick was playing, he bags a hattrick and 3 points there. So many positives, but the one negative is unfortunately the only thing that counts. Wouldn't care if Tovide never pulled on a U's shirt again. Liability. #colu

@dancowley1 fuck off u fucking idiot. What tf we do in training. Shooting is shite and subs shite #colu

I can now confirm that I have left my role as Head Groundsman @ColU_Official Thankyou to my grounds team (past and present) who helped us over the past 2 seasons to start to improve the playing surfaces at the club. It’s far from perfect but heading in the right direction. #colu

@JonWaldron1 Decent CB, but with the injuries this year and the form of Harvey & Jack, I really don't see how he gets in the starting 11

Tom Flanagan admits it's been 'quite a difficult season' after suffering two long-term injuries
But the Colchester United captain is now back and eager to play his part for Danny Cowley's side #ColU

Its the hope that kills you. After all these years, would be nice to have something, anything, go for us.
Literally ANYTHING.
Yes we have Cowleys , but they ain't no miracle workers. Definitely deserve better working conditions than this.
RC must offer some clarity ASAP #colu

@JayMatthams I wouldn't say the 3 PO places are sewn up Jay. Most teams have 16 games left. 48 points to fight for. There will still be plenty of purple patches and blips to come for all sides. Bromley I'd say look almost certs for promotion at least, but everything else is up for grabs!
English

Current playoff picture. 3 of the 4 spots look pretty nailed on for me but Walsall looking fragile. Think it's between us, Chesterfield & Grimsby to challenge Walsall for that final spot. Going to be an exciting 2nd half of the season. Thoughts?

Day in the life of a #colu fan.
Perfect deadline day and yet it still somehow leaves a sour taste.
English

@glenister_andy @ColU_Official Wouldn't make sense signing an AM if Mbick wasn't still with us.
English

@ColU_Official Great news.. but someone must have left… likely Mbick isn’t coming back as we have 6 loans now #colu

We are delighted to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Romeo Akachukwu, who joins the U’s on loan from Southampton for the remainder of the season.
The 19-year-old arrives with an exciting pedigree at both club and international level. Romeo has represented the Republic of Ireland across multiple age groups, first catching the eye on the international stage as part of Ireland’s Under-17 European Championship squad, where he scored a stunning strike against Wales. He then went on to make 18 appearances for the Under-19s, captaining the side before making his Under-21 debut against England last November, marking another significant step in his international journey.
Romeo signed for Southampton in August 2024 following a breakout spell with Waterford, where he made 35 senior appearances and famously scored a hat-trick in the League of Ireland play-offs. Since arriving on the south coast, he has continued his development with Saints’ Under-21s, registering seven goal contributions in just 11 Premier League 2 matches this season and was named on the bench for Southampton’s FA Cup tie with Doncaster. Romeo made his Saints first-team debut last season in the Carabao Cup against Cardiff City.
Now, the dynamic attacker midfielder links up with the U’s as he looks to continue his progression and make an impact in Sky Bet League Two.
Welcome to Colchester United, Romeo.
