People tell me I'm cooked... "You need international diversification." "What about Europe?" "What about emerging markets?" Nah - I'm good thanks. Why would I invest anywhere other than the best economy in the world? Look at the historical odds... The US stock market has been positive in every single rolling 20-year period in modern history - Every one. 100% Hit rate. Hold for 10 years? 96% chance of positive returns. Hold for 5 years? 88% - Even just 1 year you've got a 73% chance. The odds are literally stacked in your favour and they get better the longer you hold. And the only reason I've got 6.6% in Taiwan is because $TSM is one of the most important company on earth, Most of the leading-edge chips on the planet runs through them - That's not international diversification at all, That's owning a monopoly. The US has the best companies, that's a FACT. The best capital markets, The best corporate governance, The best innovation pipeline, The strongest consumer spending. Why would I dilute that with companies from countries that can't compete? I'll take my 93% US allocation and sleep like a baby.
