What did Tesla vision see here?? It suddenly showed this big red blob and told me to STOP. I thought I was going to hit something, but nothing was there?? I passed right through whatever it was it was seeing. Was it seeing a delayed image of the car in front of me and thought it didn’t move? Is it seeing a ghost car? So assume the temp is now 15 and salt doesn’t work to melt ice. Ice is caked on everything. Some cameras work, others are blocked. Your battery doesn’t exactly do well at negative 15 Fahrenheit unless you reinvented physics. We also have heat waves in the northeast where we can see a week or two of 100 degrees or higher, which should be splendid for the health of your battery when you are parked in the city with blacktop everywhere and the temp may be closer to 110-115 on the blacktop. Add the pot holes. Add the drivers here who are wildly uninsured and drive 1985 beaters that are dented so much they look like someone took a baseball bat to their cars and they hit your car on the street and damage your battery. Now it’s a ticking time bomb. My family grew up poor and we had a pinto. Take a look at why they aren’t on the road anymore. But let’s take a giant battery, put it around idiot drivers in terrible weather conditions with pot holes every 8 feet that cannot get fixed. Now, think of the 22 year old who just spend 4 years in college learning how to be the best commie ever and they then borrow money to buy a Tesla to be cool like their friends. They put on FSD. If you do not know anything about the job of an insurance actuary, I want you to start to consider that as stats catch up with reality, no one who lives in a major city in the US - who has bad weather - will be able to afford the insurance on a Tesla with FSD. The only way people in the northeast will ever be able to buy a Tesla - and be able to afford the insurance - is the FSD would need to be automatically disabled by software when temperatures drop below 34 degrees. This is reality. Everything else is fiction to support your reality you created. Do I think they are cool? Yes. I drive a pickup truck and live in suburbia. I need the pickup truck to be able to do work on my house and properties. I do not want to spend $130,000 on a giant steel electric Tesla truck that looks like aliens are driving and has none of the bed space in the back I need. And the morons here tried forcing us to all electric cars in the next decade. These are the same people who cannot figure out how to repair pot holes.

Now come to Pennsylvania during our winters. Let’s see how the sensors work with: - zero visibility with white outs - caked pounds of ice all over the bottom part of your car - the ice rink. 1993-1994 had over a dozen ice storms. We have tons of large hills. - idiots driving 80 as snow is coming down - pot holes that are deeper than a lake - negative temperatures on those batteries - not a charging station to be found in any city let alone the rural areas we have - cliffs with no guard rails - steep driveways, ice, and death if you misjudge an inch - snow plows burying you in ice and salt - the muddy/frozen back wood mountain roads - mountain roads which are perhaps 45 degrees and over a mile long going straight down. Good luck touching your brakes in an ice storm. I just find that a product developed in perfect weather all year round is good for that climate. What I have driven through no machine or AI should have that responsibility for. And no insurance company should insure that vehicle for self driving. Ever. At least in this state. For fun. Go drive in Philadelphia for a few hours and tell me how many of those residences can charge their car. Answer - virtually none. Theres no infrastructure because the city is 300 years old and how the city streets were setup, there’s zero chance any of those residents will ever get access to a charger. Ever

My electricity provider here in Ontario has off-peak pricing for the entire day for holidays like Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Boxing Day, Thanksgiving, and today, which is Good Friday. I charged during what would normally be an on peak time, but today is off-peak pricing all day and the Tesla app has no way of knowing that and thus does not calculate proper charging costs accordingly. Can we add an option in the Tesla app to choose holidays as off peak pricing for those providers that have this? @Tesla @elonmusk
