I covered MS-13 for over a decade: its history, crimes, symbolism, cruelty, pacts with Salvadoran governments. I wrote a book about it. Never, ever, did any of the hundreds of sources I spoke to say anything that would allow us to believe Trump's strange interpretation of tattoos

If they could do this to Andry, an innocent man who did NOTHING wrong (he came to a port of entry seeking asylum), think what else they could do. He never saw a judge, they just threw him on a plane without even telling him where it was going.

Horrified to see this image, of our @ImmDef client Andry, being brutalized and terrorized at the CECOT in El Salvador by men with chains & masks & AK47s. The @TIME photographer described him being slapped as he pleaded with them. We now know it was Andry crying out for his mom.

Judge Xinis made clear that this is actually a very simple issue: ICE, by its own admission, screwed up. So it should be made to fix its mistake.
Efforts to make this case more complicated are diverting from that basic, core, unchallenged fact.

Whoa! New allegations that one of the "payments" Bukele got from the Trump admin in exchange for taking people under the Alien Enemies Act (again, on what legal authority?) was an MS-13 gangster being prosecuted in the US who allegedly had information Bukele didn't want out.

✈️ C17 to El Paso today signaling a possible military deportation today. Watch here to see if it is. IF so, that would make 5 military deports with 4 from El Paso and 1 from Tucson. So far, of the 4 deportations 3 were to Guatemala and 1 to Ecuador, deporting just around an estimated 300 people. The deadhead relocation flight from Fairfield CA to El Paso took 2:10 so the meter was running for nothing. Same if it returns. Will verify later when sure.

@thcartwright Hi @thcartwright -- Is Salam Air a carrier you have seen operating deportation flights? All of a sudden there are 6 flights from Salam Air landing in El Salvador this weekend. Each is a route which starts in a US city with a large Salvadoran population.
