@CantabKitty Ah got it! Sorry. M&B don't do printed patterns fyi, online only. Friday pattern company is also consistently good with their size range and your local will probably have them - good for work tops imo

@CantabKitty Oops I take it back sorry. I've never seen an indie envelope without all the measurements - terrible they don't! Depending on your style maybe look at muna & broad who do fantastic stuff? (Also sorry if you're aware of them already)

@CantabKitty I'd suggest looking at indie patterns instead, tend to have a lot more options. Big four are doing better but still very limited

It has taken me days to write this blog. It was a difficult one, with a lot of mixed emotions about leaving the classroom, and my next (incredibly exciting) steps! wp.me/p6L3kG-tp

@missradders I encourage folders but struggle to check them so they remain organised. Honestly the ones who are the best organised are the ones with ipads - but not a universal solution

@SparksMaths @MathsInspiratn Oh absolutely! They are so very different (and also very similar at the same time) and both brilliant!

@abcdmaths @MathsInspiratn Good good. I disagree with myself by the way. Music is not useless, but I think it's useful in a very different way to (say) an equation.

In case @SparksMaths is wondering who he offended at @MathsInspiratn earlier... Chethams School of Music weren't impressed by the music comment - however they did have a fantastic time and I think they'll forgive (but maybe not forget)

How to tell you've set the first bit of homework of the year? Several emails from students telling you they can't access the task on drfrost (or didn't take a photo of their login as instructed...)

@ManCityCouncil why have you made your bin leaflet so inaccessible? The old design was easy to read and this one has smaller text, takes longer to see which bins to put out and has so much wasted space - what was the reasoning behind this?

Any John Catt book recommendations? Maths or general education is good. I've got some teachertapp vouchers to use and summer holidays approaching (also hi, I know I barely tweet nowadays)

@mr_man_maths @EmporiumMaths Currently we tend to give them a choice but we also teach consecutively rather than parallel. 2 years ago they all did fp1 & fm1. This year one did fp1&2, and one did fp1, fm1. Next year is looking like all doing fp1, with 2 on fp2, 1 on fs1, 1 on fm1 and 1 everything minus mech

I think this warrants discussion of what optional modules people are thinking of? I'll be using Edexcel @EmporiumMaths's optional modules. What are others doing? I'm thinking FP1 and D1? FP1 for a further extension to Core Pure and D1 because of a few that do Computer Science
Clarissa Grandi@c0mplexnumber

@KerryDunton Yes, they get two out of three per week taught and the third an unattended study period. I usually double up on content the lesson before their unattended, then they use it for consolidation. Keeps us on track, just. We also do D1 & D2, so no prior knowledge needs to be taught.

@danicquinn Definitely surprised. Especially as it gives an advantage to students who've done gcse further maths or additional maths

@shropshockeymum @missradders @mathsjem @MathsNot I believe you can buy large scale ones. My student does just have a normal one but I did look it up before. However actually not sure it's ever actually required on a modified paper
