I think Helen is right in the need for a name, though I think most of the suggestions make the mistake of applying ideological labels to it.
But it is not really a set of policies so much as a mode of life, an esthetic, a mood. It has a smell. The dirty city street, unshowered schizophrenic man’s body odor, weed smoke, mysterious street foods, etc.

Normally I consider debates about ideological taxonomy pointless, but the left in America is undergoing a major transformation right now and we really need a name for the new thing. “Wokeness” is totally inadequate. “Third Worldism” is better but still imperfect.

It’s amazing how resistant normal consciousness is to these trips. Middle aged guy experiences the full breadth of the universe and then returns and gets right back to trying to live forever and hold on as tightly as possible to youth in fear of death.
