@60Minutes I adjusted the levels and ran it through some filters so you can hear that it's NOT a natural sound - people need to hear this:
English

@SJRichmond89 @vivian39_ Why would you waste money on something that costs more, is more dangerous, and politically difficult to get people to agree to?
There is zero benefit (and don't say baseline load you can solve that with battery packs)
English

It's not just that they cost more, they also take longer to build. So if you invest $1b into solar you can literally build in a few months and in a few years you make back your investment.
With nuclear it takes longer to even start producing energy then it takes to make back your investment with renewables.
English

@SuboSays @DisinfoIsBad What about the radiation from wind/solar? Oh right there is none.
English

@DisinfoIsBad The radiation from *coal* has killed more people than nuclear power.
English

@ImJacksRage @paolini I know its hard to understand throughout all the warcrimes you committed that haunt your brain, but studies are not hidden. You can read them. They're actually all about proving their own reasoning.
English

Looking at the world and our dependence on fossil fuels reminds me of when I was doing all my research for To Sleep in a Sea of Stars. Digging into the math of energy production completely and utterly convinced me that the only path forward for humanity is to just bite the bullet and build a ton of nuclear power plants. Nuclear is the only power source that's dense enough for humanity to keep advancing, both on this planet and throughout the solar system.
Plus, it's nowhere near as dangerous as folks think. No one died from radiation at Fukushima, for example. And while nuclear isn't totally safe (nothing is), oil and coal kill a huge amount of people through pollution and knock-on political effects (see current events).
There's no such thing as a free lunch. Energy is what allows for EVERYTHING in our modern world, and the more we can produce, the better life gets. But to do that, and cleanly, nuclear is the only real option at the scales we need.
English

The only reason governments build nuke plants is you need them to convert uranium into plutonium for nuclear weapons.
Literally never made any sense economically. Maybe there was a window in the 90s where people started to worry about climate change and renewables were still expensive where there was an argument, but the costs for renewables have come down so much nukes are totally obsolete.
English

@Killroy2004 @paolini Nuclear is a waste of money compared to wind and solar.
For the same amount of money you can build like 4x-5x as much wind and solar and they will have paid for themselves in electricity production years before a nuke plant would even come online.
English

@InclusiveBuild @TheSolarShed You can put it on roofs, above roads and parking lots. putting down solar panels doesn't mean the land can't be used for other things at the same time.
English

@TheSolarShed 3% of land isn't just a small portion, it doesn't take account of you wanting to build on prime agricultural land not in the shade of mountains, flood plains, on roofs Etc. You want to take over the best agricultural land not simply 3% of land. You are a threat to food security.
English

@PomTerkins actual antisemitism is also protected by the first amendment so this headline doesn't make any sense.
English

Judges are largely finding that criticism of Israel/Zionism is 1st amendment protected speech, not antisemitic. Ditto for slogans like “From the river to the sea” Major blows to pro-Israel lawfare operation theguardian.com/us-news/2026/m…
English

@hasanthehun Well, anti-semitism is also protected by the first amendment, so that guy's tweet doesn't really make much sense.
I feel like it would be hard to win a libel case on being called an anti-semite because it's so subjective.
English

@vissykilldozer @AiBot9T @reset_by_peer the chemicals from the chemical factory probably won't render the land uninhabitable for 10,000 years.
English

@AiBot9T @reset_by_peer The area around it might have a bad time, that's it. What happens, if there's a war, and someone blows up a chemical factory? What if there's a war, and someone burns down a big forest? An oil refinery? Should we stop producing chemicals and cut all forests, to prevent an 'if'?
English

FYI, this is what 20 years worth of safely stored nuclear waste looks like. You can fit it in a third of an average convenience store parking lot.

Disinformation Destroyer@DisinfoIsBad
So called environmentalists have been saying this about nuclear power since the 70s, and they've doomed us to climate catastrophe over a potential future issue that has shown no evidence of materializing in 70 years of nuclear power.
English

Climate change is a big problem but it would be cheaper, MUCH cheaper and faster to solve it with wind and solar.
Nuke advocates then shit on wind/solar because they don't want to admit that and piss off normal environmentalists.
There is a huge contingent of people who just like nuclear power because they think it's cool though. They are their own group.
English

@reset_by_peer @Francis_Watts Just make the reasonable case for nuclear.
English

@reset_by_peer You could maybe make the case for them up through 2006 or something but a couple decades ago the cost curves for wind/solar got so cheep as to render nuclear power completely obsolete even in a zero-carbon world.
English

@reset_by_peer The actual environmental concerns were just a cover for their anti-weapons agenda, although there have been fuckups that have lead to serious problems (Chernobyl and Fukushima).
English

@USA_Polling Do the actual math on how much nuclear power plants cost compared to wind and solar.
It's an enormous waste of money and wind/solar get cheaper every year, while nuclear gets more expensive.
Nuke advocates can't do math.
English

Sometimes I believe the conspiracy theory that anti-nuclear environmentalists are just oil and gas astroturfed organizations

The people cast for friends were nobodies. You couldn't cast movie stars, major singers and youtubers for a 24 episode/season show, this is ridiculous.
So stupid.
Jen@SweetTexanRose
If F•R•I•E•N•D•S was cast in 2026. I think they’d did pretty good for the most part, I just don’t know who the guys for Chandler or Ross are. 😂
English

In January of 2025, Max Blumenthal went after Zionist, Blinken with teeth. But now that US military flexes to stop years of Ayatolla tyranny on Iranians, he sounds like a spinning head. Why doesn't he see it? Trump vs DC Zionists deep state. It's not quagmire like Cheney's plan.

Max Blumenthal@MaxBlumenthal
My final words for Tony Blinken, Secretary of Genocide, and his smirking press secretary, Matt Miller
English

The guy looks like a pedo getting a tip about some local playgrounds.
𝐓𝐌𝐓@TMT_arabic
The look that didn’t scare anyone 😂
English

@AaronRegunberg @ThirdWayTweet It's actually antisemetic on their part.
English

So @ThirdWayTweet is now trying to say that to criticize the Epstein class to to criticize Jews? Are you freaking kidding me?! You know what endangers Jews -- declaring that "Epstein class" is synonymous with "Jewish." I mean, what the actual fuck?
