If you feel helpless about the climate, consider this: none of the climate models factor in the deepening and irresolvable crisis of US imperialism, which is unfolding before our eyes and will undoubtedly lead to a major decline in fossil fuel use. Nothing will be better for the climate than the retreat and collapse of US imperialism.

I have to wonder, why would a person with this view of humans care if humans explore the cosmos, make settlements outside of earth or "expand the light of consciousness"? Its just slop. Wouldn't sending some GPU's with a local LLM be better?

Concerns about long term storage of nuclear waste are justified, which is why Nuclear power should be nationalized and run as a strictly regulated and monitored public utility. This way we can ensure that both waste storage and procurement of fuel is done safely and ethically.

Nuclear power is remarkably clean in that we can just seal up all the bad stuff that kills you and gives you cancer and it stays sealed.
With traditional fossil fuels we put all the bad stuff that gives you cancer directly into the air we breathe, food we eat and water we drink.
