So the UK's 10-year gilt yield - the cost of government borrowing - is now up at 2008 levels. An 18-year high The difference is that, back then, UK national debt was 48pc of GDP, and now it's the best part of 100pc. So the debt service costs are much MUCH heavier. Of the £14.3bn the UK government borrowed in February alone, no less than £13bn of that was spent on interest on existing debts - a situation which is not only unsustainable, but very close to provoking a disastrous financial collapse. Yet still, our national discourse is all about more spending, more borrowing, more "state intervention". When is the Labour party – and much of the listless, unthinking rump of the UK's political and media class – going to start acknowledging reality? WHEN ....?

Dear Prime Minister, you are supposed to be the Prime Minister of #Australia, my Prime Minister and every other ordinary Australian, proud and head high. I would like to ask what is Australian about this picture?! Being in a mosque, sitting on the ground barefoot, while there is a big verse of the Quran over your head, and a Muslim cleric sitting 5 meters above you on a chair while you are seated on the ground, surrounded by a bunch of extremists. Win for the UAE and the civilized world against misinformation and defamation spread by Muslim Brotherhood defenders. In Belfast courts, @andreas_krieg was found guilty of spreading lies against the UAE. He is known for supporting Muslim Brotherhood Islamists in the West. By court order, his book will be DESTROYED, and he will hopefully be REMOVED from King’s College London. Yes, left-wing circles try to make it costly to criticise Islamist networks, such as Islamic Relief a charity that operates freely in the UK but is listed as a terrorist-linked entity in the UAE for funding groups in the Middle East through British channels.
