@SawyerMerritt The cost of the replacement isn't the problem imo, it's that Tesla isn't up front about it, they still show you prices with "gas savings" even though if you have to replace the battery you can kiss those gas savings bye bye. But the bigger problem is the lack of service.

If your pillow was made in China and the American government slaps a tariff on Chinese-made pillows, the tariff is added to the cost of the pillow at the point of sale in Walmart. The country of origin doesn't pay the tariff. The pillow buyer does. That's how tariffs work.
