Ruined by modern writing. DCU has rebooted their universe twice chasing the MCU. The MCU has not reached the hype level of the first Avengers film sans No Way Home. Star Wars had the keys and handed them to Rian Johnson, who promptly disregarded the prior film. Dial of Destiny somehow was worse than Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Doctor Who stopped being entertaining to me personally at the beginning of Smith, but Capaldi was brilliant to Gary (which was around 2015, by the way). Ironheart is the result of modern writing, by the way. Riri's origin is rooted in her staring faux bigotry into her teacher who initially encouraged the girl to strive for the stars. There's also the matter of her committing grand larceny because she was expelled from her college. There are plenty more examples, but you get the point. "I liked it before it was ruined" is in reference to mainstream getting too comfortable with long-running franchises making money that they have stopped trying to wow their fanbases.
