Why "Diamonds in the Rough" is not a Good Investment Strategy in Venture: " Don't ever do diamonds in the rough, only do diamonds. The general pattern is 99 out of 100 times, if it's got merit, to be investible for venture, there are a lot of really smart and hungry VCs out there and they're working extremely hard to sniff these things out.
