What I mean is if all events that happen in the universe are happening from infinity, then they're not really "happening" (a happening implies a "change" in condition or state which would not be the case with something that is actually infinite. An actually infinite set of events has "happened" but not in a sequence or in a sensually apparent way as you'd expect of finitude). Infinity in mathematics "typically" applies to operational boundaries (e.g division by zero which is considered "undefined". math.stackexchange.com/questions/1411…). In math, infinity refers to an unknown end of line or a terminus in a sufficiently large number line or system (i.e infinity is technically not defined in mathematics because it is not a number). Cantor's growing infinity only makes sense mathematically because the physical universe has hard constraints. So, infinity's disallowing of change is an ontological constraint not necessarily a mathematical one. By "infinite set of equally infinite events", I don't mean anything that might be mathematically special but was simply applying analogy to refer to an infinite universe with an infinite chain of members (which is not possible for a universe with constant change or growth).

Did you watch the video yourself and think through it? The video doesn't disprove the argument against infinite regress. It makes the point of the argument even though the narrator is trying to argue against the Kalam. We typically split infinity into two types: Actual infinity Potential infinity But this distinction is problematic. A potential infinity is just a ridiculously large chain, not an infinite one. In fact, you may say it is in perpetual finitude. How? Imagine you wanted to create an infinite stack of dollar bills. You pick one bill and then add another and so on till say the one billionth. There are two things happening: 1. There is a state change (an increase in the number of dollar bills is a state change for the stack) 2. You have a stack that stays extensible (i.e you can always add to it to induce a state change) These are characteristics of finite conditions (i.e. they change and are open to change). Infinity has no boundary or terminal point; it is fully actualized. Once there is a starting point, it is an indicator of finitude. If the universe is an infinite set of equally infinite events, then all events would have been actualized at no decipherable time (since time is a measure of change and infinity allows for no change).

@java_warrior @dionpedia And like clockwork, the chief philosophical wanker appears with shumpo 🤣

If something created God, then what created the thing that created God ? And what created the thing that created the thing that created God ? This leaves us with an unending chain of creators, with no beginning. There has to be an uncaused beginning, that beginning is God.

Akwa Ibom has more than 20 languages spoken as first languages. Not dialects. Languages. Ibibio. Annang. Oron. Eket. Obolo. Ibeno. Oro-Itu. Okobo. Iko. Ukwa. Odual. And more. In a state covering 7,081 square kilometers, roughly the size of some European micro-nations, more than 20 distinct languages are spoken natively. This is not a curiosity. It is a civilization. Different languages mean different songs, different proverbs, different philosophies, different ways of naming the world. All of them existing within one state. All of them contributing to a cultural richness that no single textbook can fully map.

"There has to be a beginning " Wtf are you to tell the universe it has to have a beginning

Victimhood logic 101: Once you're a victim class as stated by woke theory all your wrongdoings can be blamed on your "oppressors" with the magic word "internalized". Cos as we all know, "victims" can never be bad people Women can't hate each other, it's impossible. When they do it's internalized misogyny= men's fault Black people can't hate each other. When they do, it's internalized racism= white people's fault The gays can't hate each other. When they do it's internalized homophobia, forced on them by the straight oppressors as they're incapable of being evil by themselves Victims are good people, if they exhibit any evil traits, the oppressor caused it. That's why it's such a big hit with women, who were already naturally allergic to accountability

3. How are you doing mentally?

Unbothered ke? When they are alone they are bothered like madddd! You can l!e to everyone but you can’t l!e to yourself.

Lol, the number of flat-earthers in Nigeria is alarming. It’s literally just basic SS1 geography, space aside.

Books are below me.
