@Kristinartz Everyone including children were held to account in those days. Parents taught their children to behave properly, ‘or else’ & teachers took nomnonsense ‘or else’. Always the exception but once caught they found out what ‘or else’ actually meant, the rest of us just had to guess.

Fact check: That quote about being “privately funded members of the Royal Family” did NOT come from Queen Elizabeth II. It came from the Sussex website outlining THEIR proposal, not in the Queen’s official statement. The Queen’s statement never used that wording. The Queen’s official statement simply confirmed they would no longer receive public funds and would step back as senior working royals. Whoever is pushing this is 100% wrong.
