If you are disturbed by this, I better never catch you telling victims in your own community “that’s horrible but I want to stay out of it” or “you need to move on.” She attempted suicide because she felt it was her only option. When you deny victims ACTIVE social support (which necessarily *centers* holding offenders to account) you actively contribute to this structure instead.
