@WeedonsWorld @Lincsbirding Really interesting Mike, not quite as impressive but we've been getting regular counts of 20-30+ at local sites in the Arun Valley in recent weeks, which is unusual here for the time of year. This morning 35+ at a local wetland with a Turnstone in tow.

Today, I counted 489 Dunlin in a single flock on the floods of Cowbit Wash, just south of Spalding, Lincs. There were another 100-150 Dunlin separate a km or so to the south. Seems remarkarble numbers for an inland site. dots in groups of 50, lined off in 100s. @Lincsbirding

Highly recommend the excellent new book by @mostlyscarce and @Godalming_birds 👍lots of new local places to explore!!
