@Stiryd @TheOdinProject Agreed, I Initially dual booted my laptop to work through it. As I was working more on JavaScript I've gone back to using windows. I'm just setting up rails again and it has its pain points with windows but it's so much better now and any issues can be resolved with ease

@TheOdinProject The only bad thing about TOP is that they think you need to use Linux to do web development. I know many people who didn't get into the curriculum because of that, thinking they couldn't do it on Windows.

Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and start freelancing, applying for jobs, making products, whatever. I NEVER felt ready before any of that stuff. I was always full of doubt. You have to shut that part of your brain off and just do it. Go get what you want!

Finally finished @thenetninjauk Vue + Firebase course on Udemy. Great course with really good projects.. Time to get cracking building my own now!!

@zg_dev @tailwindcss @algolia Agreed, the docs are some of the best around. As a new developer they are easy to read and understand. I find with most other docs I need a thesaurus and a sacrifice to the gods to understand anything

One of the lesser acknowledged reasons for @tailwindcss's massive success is how much effort they put into great documentation, not to mention the ability to search the docs quickly with @algolia. Utility classes aren't new, it's great organization + discoverability that matters

May 2021 - I remember taking this screenshot because I was excited to get 140 views on a video. May 2022 - My most recent video has over 10K views in a single week. Still small compared to where I want to take LearnVue, but huge in terms of growth. 🙂 #buildinpublic

I think people shy away from creating these kinds of series because: A: they're hard work! B: they open the creator to a lot of criticism.

I keep seeing new developers buying "Javascript & Jquery" But is that really the best book to learn from? That book was old when I read it 6 years ago Jquery is (mostly) dead Reviews say no ES6 Has anyone with industry experience read it recently? Up to date or avoid?
