It’s been an incredible ride 🤝 At the end of this season we say goodbye to three long-serving Sport Directors. Thanks for everything @ServaisKnaven, @bdlancaster and @gabrielrasch.

🤪 El secreto de la subida de Bernal es que le ha “animado” un tío con una motosierra. #Giro

Are you a board member? What do you REALLY care about when you see a product roadmap?

@pvblivs Couple of hours attention per week sounds too hard for most, but teams get it back 10 fold in leveling up their alignment, estimation, planning, comms, etc. Hard to prove until teams commit though.

I‘m seeing a pattern of story maps being used for initial alignment on priority and details, but then forgotten about ongoing. No point having one unless they’re used and updated regularly!

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: We'll build an underground suburban rail loop connecting Melbourne's train lines. It will get you where you need to go, wherever you live – and that's what our growing state needs.

@mark_barbs @tigris666 Unfortunately yes, ‘big up front analysis‘ is classic product. What I’m refeering to is different. Product and design should work tightly with engineers to address risks/assumptions up front via prototyping and testing techniques on real users. This is my definition of validated.

Wait. Is this a validated backlog, with like, feature requirements, specification documents etc? Like, no feedback loop right? just tiger team off and build this shit cos we spent 6 months deciding it's the right thing to build???? sounds..... great
Dave@radcollo

@mcilvena Tiger team, crack team, feature team. It don't matter that much to me, as long as they're working from a validated backlog.

@tigris666 Validated backlog = ideas where’s the risks around usability, business viability, feasibility and value (will people actually use/buy this) are addressed via discovery testing techniques. Lead by product, design and reps for the tech team.

@mcilvena This ones easier said then done, but Ux, product and reps from engineering need a super close union during product discovery efforts. If any of the above roles are missing then the whole framework falls apart.

UX is great. I'm a fan of UX. But like most things, I'm only a fan when effort translates to positive product outcomes. In the mobile software industry I'm seeing an increasing discrepancy between valuable UX research and its practical application. What are we doing wrong here?
