The Prime Minister's begging tour around Asia shows just how exposed we are to any disruption in global fuel supply. This is actually our second wake-up call about over-reliance on global supply chains and we can't afford to go back to sleep once more, as we did after the first. The Prime Minister's 'fuel diplomacy coup' in securing two extra deliveries, each of 100 million litres, sounded impressive but actually constituted less than two days' total Australian consumption. What's more, it bordered on deranged for the government to insist that further electrification was the long-term solution to the fuel crisis, even while the PM was pleading for extra petrol and diesel. Immediate crisis averted, the PM will insist that nothing really needs to change, even though almost everything does. Read my latest at The Tony Abbott Newsletter: tonyabbott.au/p/7eb4e88b-27f…

Australians should benefit from what's beneath our feet. The resources powering our homes, fuelling our cars, creating jobs, and securing our future. It's the envy of the world. But under Labor? Tax it. Tie it in red tape. Make projects wait eight years for a decision. The result: jobs gone, industries stalling, and critical energy projects stuck in limbo while your power and fuel bills keep climbing. If we're not drilling, we're not prepared for moments like this, when global supply tightens, Australians pay the price. Today the Coalition has laid out the plan to get Australia moving again - more resources, more exports, more jobs, more homes. ✅ Fix broken environmental approvals ✅ Fast-track nationally significant projects like oil and gas ✅ Boost incentives for early-stage exploration ✅ Scrap Labor's carbon tax (aka the Safeguard Mechanism) Dig, drill, and pay down the debt bill. 🇦🇺

Spotlight dedicated more than an hour on a report into supply chains feeding into the renewables and EV industries. Liam Bartlett proclaimed: “Every battery, every electric vehicle, every piece of so-called clean energy technology today” uses cobalt. WRONG. #auspol

After left wing news media have reported that One Nation has fallen in the polls, Alex Antic questions the legitimacy “A large majority of the mainstream media is deeply left wing” “Prior to the election all we heard was that Trump was down in the polls”

Trump On Truth Social: Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz — A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French Ship, and a Freighter from the United Kingdom. That wasn’t nice, was it? My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan — They will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations. Iran recently announced that they were closing the Strait, which is strange, because our BLOCKADE has already closed it. They’re helping us without knowing, and they are the ones that lose with the closed passage, $500 Million Dollars a day! The United States loses nothing. In fact, many Ships are headed, right now, to the U.S., Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska, to load up, compliments of the IRGC, always wanting to be “the tough guy!”

Weeks of noise, shadow-boxing and chest-beating over the fuel crisis, and here is where it lands. A number of polls, including Newspoll (pictured) - ours will follow in week or so. One Nation cosying up to Trump. Which btw is their biggest risk. The Coalition swinging at diverse Australians, which btw is their suicide mission. And the electorate’s reply? Labor 31, One Nation 24, Coalition 21, Greens 13…with Labor cruising to 55–45 two-party preferred. Turns out importing American culture war politics and treating modern Australia as the problem is not, in fact, a pathway to government. And for the Coalition it is a pathway to third place. For One Nation and their Trump brand? A ceiling.

@TheNestWCE Elijah needs continuity as he’s missed so much footy, he’ll come back, Duggan is the one, he tries hard but he just continually butchers it, he had all the time in the world kicking it into our fwd 50 options everywhere he perfectly picked out a Freo back, they rebounded & goaled

The effort was there today. One more inside 50 than them. Contest numbers near even. They’re just a top four side that knows how to defend & burn you in transition far better than a bottom four side like us. Hewett & A.Reid have to make way. Reward the WAFL boys, winners again.

If your country owns abundant natural resources, a smart population, in a peaceful region but you accumulate $1 trillion in debt - your government is not "fit for purpose". Entire leadership class has failed, Josh Frydenberg worst Treasurer in Oz history but Jim Chalmers clearly out of his depth, no authority no urgency, not a serious person.

Trump is now saying very good conversations are going on behind the scenes. But Iran has apparently opened fire on two vessels trying to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. It’s apparent that nothing in the war makes sense or is believable. Only 6 vessels have passed through the Strait in 24 hours. Thats only 4.3% of the normal amount of vessels passing through.

"He returned to the field in the second half before he was taken to hospital last night. Scans revealed a lacerated kidney. He’s expected to stay in hospital for multiple days." Busy week of investigations at the Blues.

Lucas Camporeale threw himself at this contest late in Q2 and stayed down for close to two minutes. He returned to the field in the second half before he was taken to hospital last night. Scans revealed a lacerated kidney. He’s expected to stay in hospital for multiple days.

Australia will be flat surviving two more years of this Labor/ Greens madness. They need to be totally wiped out at the next election. A loss of at least 40 seats to show them we refuse to become a Communist country.

Well that didn’t go to plan. The Stait of Hormuz is still restricted. That didn’t stop NASDAQ from continuing to run to its longest winning sprint since 2013! #news
