@greencat99999 @Blanchette68238 Where I live we mainly hunt whitetail deer for meat. We hunt hogs just to keep them from tearing up the land. Some hunt varmits like bobcats and coyotes.

@simplesamtx @Blanchette68238 テキサスでは獲物は何が獲れるのですか? 鹿?イノシシ? 日本では地域によりますが、銃で狩れるのは鹿、イノシシ、場合によっては熊です。

Dear Japanese X, Texas law requires us to have at least one freezer full of cow. We are also required to submit our bbq to the state and those that fail those two requirements must leave the state within 60 days. 😂

@shigezou55 Now that’s funny. Maybe we can end all wars with shared cultural cuisine.

Wow! We don’t have much waste. Any hardwoods get milled into screen mold or some other small trims. Plywood scraps get picked up by locals for their small projects. Sawdust gets picked up for flowerbeds and horse stalls unless we cut walnut. The rest of the hardwood scraps gets burned in the wood stove We pride ourselves on using as much as possible but we are a small shop so it would be harder if we were big.

Same around here. I worked in a cabinet manufacturer shop for a few months in between jobs and couple years ago. It was all CNC cut and sorted. They assembled and destroyed more cabinets than you can imagine. They people just didn't care about the job. It was very disappointing. Luckily I was able to take home a bunch of wrong sized cabinets and beautiful panels that I have stockpiled in my shed. If it was wrong it all went into a massive grinder for cattle bedding. It was nuts the amount of waste.

@DanLoftis2 @25DFyhGI8nUvPf0 Yeah finishing is tough. Luckily our cabinets get finished onsite by a cabinet finisher. We haven’t incorporated finishing into our shop. Its just to hard to compete with the price of the guys that do it around here for a living.

@simplesamtx @25DFyhGI8nUvPf0 I'm made a few things that caught my interest, from lawn furniture to closet built ins. My worst failing is the finish work of sanding and sanding and sanding. Then applying paint or stain. Lol. I just want to make the thing and go today! Mind the splinters folks. Lol

@simplesamtx @25DFyhGI8nUvPf0 Yes it is. If I had any money. Lol. Japan would be my first overseas trip. I heard so many amazing stories from my veteran friends who were stationed there. It used to be England until the Islamic takeover.

No shade to the Japanese creators, but people need to understand that there are many wholesome creators in America also. But many are overlooked because their views are small. There is wholesome content available if you look for it.

@DanLoftis2 @25DFyhGI8nUvPf0 I think it’s by design. It’s like the higher ups don’t want us to get along and share our cultures. In fact it seems like kids are being taught now to dislike their own cultures. Truly sad

It just amazes me that when I was in preschool from 1975 to 1979 we had Japanese cultural classes. I grew up in a small town with 75 children in my class. We were given sukiyaki and other dishes to try, along with stories of the Samurai. It was so cool to be introduced to the Japanese culture as a small child. Unfortunately for reasons I don't know, that type of cultural immersion was stopped and never brought back. I think it's a tragedy that classes after me didn't get opportunity. American Education is strange 🤔.
