The US not only pays the most out of any country in the world for veteran disability compensation (by far) but is the ONLY country where you can receive the 100% disability compensation payments and work a full time job at the same time. This is insanity.

Okay, your argument is that we should not address an obvious fixable issue because there are bigger issues that we are facing? How is that productive? The VA budget is nearly $500B a year. That's a lot of money. It'll be nearly $1T a year in 10 years. You said $2T went missing in transportation, yes that's bad and needs to be investigated, but that's 4 years of the VA budget which will just keep growing and growing at 7-10%/year. You also fail to realize that this underlying culture of exploiting the military for benefits is bad for the military and its readiness. People are joining up for the wrong reasons and this will and already is causing 2nd and 3rd order consequences of "not my problem"
