I'm old enough to remember when there was NO govt help for daycare and people didn't expect it. I was a single mom. My parents helped out a lot. Families did it back then. Unfortunately too many people believe the government is supposed to take care of them from cradle to grave. I'm raising my teenage grandchildren right now because their father remarried and doesn't have time for them. It happens. They are better off in our stable home.
